What you will need
Online sessions need a few extras:
- A device with a working camera and microphone
- A steady internet connection for the whole session
- Valid, unexpired government photo ID
- The document in a format you can upload
- Confirmation that the recipient accepts online notarization
How the request works
- Send the request — under Where is the signing?, choose Online.
- I check whether online notarization fits your document and confirm next steps.
- If it fits, you get platform instructions and the fee — including any soft deposit.
- If it does not, I will suggest home office or mobile instead.
What can delay or stop a signing
Online is not a fit for every document:
- Wills, codicils, and testamentary trusts (in-person execution required in Texas)
- Recipients who do not accept online notarized documents
- Signers outside Texas at the time of the session
- Tech setups that cannot support identity verification
