Senior and Assisted Living
Senior and assisted living notary in Houston.
Unhurried signings at independent living, assisted living, and memory care. I plan extra time, confirm the setting, and move at the signer pace.
Who this is for
For residents and families at senior living communities around Houston.
- Families handling a POA or estate plan for a parent
- Community directors and care coordinators arranging signings
- Spouses and adult children who need a patient notary
- Signers most comfortable in their own apartment or common room
What it helps with
- Durable and medical power of attorney documents
- Estate plan packets already drafted by an attorney
- Affidavits related to benefits or family matters
- Documents that already include notarial wording
What to have ready
- Valid, unexpired government photo ID for each signer
- The complete unsigned document or packet with notarial wording
- Community name, building, apartment or room, and guest-log policy
- Required witnesses with their own photo ID (please bring your own for travel)
- A family or care team member on site if it helps
How it works
- Send the request with the community and any access requirements.
- I confirm timing, facility fee (+$25), travel, and any soft deposit.
- I check in per guest policy, verify ID, watch the signature, and finish the certificate.
- Family keeps the completed original.
What can delay or stop a signing
I will pause rather than push through if:
- The signer is not awake, oriented, or able to communicate
- The signer appears to be signing under pressure
- The ID has expired or does not match the document
- A facility visitor policy requires different sign-in steps
How I make it easier
- Allow extra time — these signings do not need to be rushed
- Confirm visitor policy in advance so the visit is expected
- Stay warm and patient, especially in memory care
